Interview Requests: All interview requests for IRONMAN’s executives, staff, or race directors should be directed to IRONMAN’s Public Relations Department. All interview requests should be submitted in writing via email to [email protected].
Media Credentials: Media credential requests are honored for accredited media on specific assignments and must be made through IRONMAN’s Public Relations Department. Media credentials will not be issued to writers or photographers working on a freelance basis unless the request is made by a recognized publication or news organization. All members of the media must complete an application for media credentials for access to any IRONMAN®-branded event. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Applications for non-championship events received less than one week prior to the applicable event date will be considered late.
Applications for championship events received less than six weeks prior to the applicable event date will be considered late. Only media whose primary purpose is to cover an event as a working news media outlet will be considered for media credentials. IRONMAN, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to: deny media credential requests to an applicant without revealing specific details for denial; revoke media credentials prior to or during any event; limit the number of media credentials issued for an event.

Credential Pick Up: Details for media credential pick up will be given during the applicable event week. All credentials must be picked up prior to race day.
Professional Participant Lists: Pro lists will also be emailed out during race week to global distribution list as well as those that are registered for Media Credentials to the event. Click here to view an event listing of professional participants (when available).
Post-Race Athlete Access: Post-race press conferences for the top professional male and female athletes will take place in the finish area, following the finish of the top male and female athletes, respectively. All other professional athletes will be available for interview after they have safely and successfully crossed the finish-line. Please allow time for the athletes to collect themselves before approaching them in the finish-line chute for interview.
