The All World Athlete (AWA) program rewards age-group athletes for their hard work, dedication, and performance across IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 racing within a calendar year.

AWA status must be earned – an athlete cannot apply for membership. AWA status is earned through the racing activity of an athlete in the preceding calendar year. An athlete’s best three Age Group Ranking (AGR) points achieved between January 1 and December 31 are added together and then all athletes within an age group category are ordered by their AGR points.

At the beginning of each calendar year the top 2% of each Age Group are awarded Gold, the next 5% Silver and next 10% Bronze.

AWA status is awarded for a 12-month period and resets each year. An athlete’s status renews or expires based on their racing activity and rank order in the previous year.

All World Athletes enjoy benefits such as priority registration opportunities, on site perks like low bib numbers, preferential bike racking, etc. We hope to see you earn your space in the program in an upcoming year.

How many Age Group Ranking points do I currently have?

Check the dynamic table here to see the Age Group Ranking points you have earned compared to other athletes racing within the same year. The current year tab is dynamic and will continue to change as athletes complete races and earn points. The prior year tabs are locked and represent final standings.

How do I know if I earned AWA status?

Look at the prior full year tab of the Using the Age Group Rankings (AGR) table. Filter the table to show your Age Group only. Use the search function to look for your name. If you have a colored dot beside your name, you earned AWA status. If you do not have a colored dot you can scroll through the filtered Age Group to see the minimum points required to earn status, represented by the last person to have a colored dot beside their name.

As an AWA you should be notified by the AWA team of your earned status, and receive email communication and notifications from the AWA team throughout the year (subject to your email preferences), as well as receive benefits on site at your races. If you are not receiving our correspondence, please contact us.
