About Host City

Accommodation

Official IRONMAN Race Hotel: Scandic Emporio Hamburg
We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Scandic Emporio Hamburg, which will be the Official Race Hotel.  Athlete friendly accommodation and stress-free event related services will be provided, to ensure the requirements of athletes and spectators are catered for. 

The contemporary Scandic Hamburg Emporio is located in Hamburg's city centre, and less than 900 metres from the IRONMAN event area. Rooms at the hotel are inspired by the theme of water, and offer natural wooden furnishings and large windows. Cable TV, air cooling system, a work desk and a private bathroom are all included.

Hamburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and radiates an incomparable charm. Go on a discovery tour through the city by the Elbe and explore the most beautiful sights, attend unique events or feast in the most delicious restaurants & cafés. The city's scene & nightlife are known all over the world and Hamburg is also a great shopping metropolis.

The event area is located around the Rathausmarkt (Rathausmarkt, 20095 Hamburg). 

Getting to Hamburg 

By plane:
  • There are direct flights to Hamburg Airport from many European airports
  • From the airport, the S-Bahn (S1) train takes you to the center in about 20 minutes.
By train or bus:
To see all train connections to Hamburg or to purchase tickets, you can visit https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de 
  • To get to the venue from Hamburg Central Station, you can take the bus line 5 with the direction Nedderfeld or Burgwedel. It only takes 5-minutes to reach the station Rathausmarkt. 
  • Public transport in Hamburg is provided by HVV. You can visit the website or download the app to plan your visit. 

By car:

To plan your arrival by car, we recommend you to enter your route on Google Maps, which shows you the fastest way how to get to Hamburg. Please note that you can not drive up to the venue directly and that parking spots in the city center are rare. We recommend leaving your car at your hotel and taking public transport to get to the city center.

Wir arbeiten in Hamburg auch wieder mit dem Scandic Emporio Hamburg zusammen. Die Athleten-freundlichen Unterkünfte und die inkludierten Leistungen garantieren dir und deinen Begleitern einen stressfreien Ablauf und ein perfektes Rennerlebnis.

Das zeitgenössische Scandic Hamburg Emporio befindet sich in der Hamburger Innenstadt, weniger als 900 Meter vom IRONMAN-Veranstaltungsviertel entfernt. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind vom Thema Wasser inspiriert und bieten Naturholzmöbel und große Fenster. Kabel-TV, eine Klimaanlage, ein Schreibtisch und ein eigenes Bad sind ebenfalls vorhanden. 

Anfahrt

Die Veranstaltung findet auf und um den Rathausmarkt herum statt (Rathausmarkt, 20095 Hamburg).

Wie du nach Hamburg kommst:

Mit dem Flugzeug:
  • Es bestehen zahlreiche Flugverbindungen von europäischen Flughäfen zum Hamburg Airport
  • Vom Flughafen aus bringt dich die S-Bahnlinie S1 in circa 20 Minuten ins Stadtzentrum.
Mit Zug oder Bus:
Hier kannst du Tickets kaufen und findest du alle Verbindungen nach Hamburg:  https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de 
  • Mit der Buslinie 5 in Richtung Nedderfeld oder Burgwedel erreichst du in weniger als 5 Minuten die Haltestelle Rathausmarkt.
  • Öffentlicher Nahverkehr wird in Hamburg durch die HVV betrieben. Du kannst dir die App downloaden oder die Website besuchen, um Tickets zu kaufen oder Fahrpläne zu prüfen.

Mit dem Auto:
Um deine Anreise mit dem Auto zu planen empfehlen wir das Ziel auf Google Maps einzugeben. Die App zeigt dir den schnellsten Weg nach Hamburg an. Bitte beachte, dass du nicht direkt bis zur Veranstaltung fahren kannst und Parkplätze in dem Gebiet selten sind. Es empfiehlt sich, das Auto am Hotel zu parken und mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in das Stadtzentrum zu fahren.
