Traveling on SacRT to Downtown Events (Ironman California or Kings Game) on Sunday, October 24? Read below how to navigate downtown service impacts due to road closures as a result of the Ironman California race.
SacRT bus bridge (special bus service) in place on the Blue Line (Alkali Flat/La Valentina Station to 13th Street Station) and on the Gold Line (13th Street Station to the Sacramento Valley Station) from noon until the end of the service day (approximately midnight) on Sunday, October 24. Note that special shuttle buses will pick up and/or drop off every 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic impacts.
Blue Line (north) riders traveling to downtown will need to board the special shuttle bus at Alkali/La Valentina in front of the northwest corner of E and 12th at the Route 33 bus stop and exit at the following bus stops to walk to downtown events:
Blue Line (south) and Gold Line riders traveling to downtown will need to board the special shuttle bus at 13th Street Station at the bus stop located at Q & 13th streets (bus stop #106) and exit at the following bus stops to walk to downtown events:
Downtown riders needing to catch the Blue Line (north) to the Alkali Flat/La Valentina Station will need to walk and board special shuttle buses at:
No other SacRT stops/stations in downtown Sacramento will be served during the detours. The following light rail stations will be closed during the disruption: Blue Line: 12th & I, 11th & K, 10th & K 9th & K, 7th & Capitol, 8th& Capitol, 8th & O, Archives Plaza.
