ASIA Transfer Programme

As an alternative to the standard refund policy, athletes registered for IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3® events in Malaysia and the Philippines have the option to transfer their race registration to another IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3® event in Malaysia and the Philippines with general registration slots still available. Transfer requests must be made no later than 45 days prior to the event date.

The following events on the IRONMAN Asia Calendar are not available for athlete transfer as they are IRONMAN licensed events. Please contact the respective event organisers for the refund policies on these events;

• IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam
• IRONMAN 70.3 Centrair Chita Peninsula, Japan

• IRONMAN 70.3 Kenting, Taiwan
• IRONMAN 70.3 Goa, India
• IRONMAN Taiwan
• IRONMAN Gurye, Korea

Individual Transfer Request Within the Calendar year

The following events in Malaysia and the Philippines are only available to transfer within the same calendar year. Athletes can transfer between January and December and may move to any available race in the calendar year and may move between IRONMAN® or IRONMAN® 70.3® events. Transfers are not available to sold out events.

• IRONMAN 70.3 Desaru Coast
• Regent Aguila IRONMAN 70.3 Philippines, Cebu

Individual Transfer Across the Calendar Year

The following events can transfer across the calendar year but NOT onto the same event in the following year.

• IRONMAN Malaysia
• IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi
• IRONMAN 70.3 Puerto Princesa

Terms and Conditions

1. The IRONMAN Asia Transfer Programme is available for athletes registered in IRONMAN Asia owned and managed events only (excludes IRONMAN licensed events)
2. A transfer fee of $50 (USD) + event Active Fee will be applied
3. Price is based on the General Pricing Tier or Tier 3 pricing of the event you are transferring into.
4. The event transferred into must be in the same calendar year as the original event year, with the exception of events held in October to December where transfers are available into the following year but not onto the same event in the following year.
5. If an athlete is transferring from a higher priced race to a lower priced race, the athlete will not be refunded the difference and is still required to pay the transfer fee.
6. If an athlete is transferring from a lower priced race to a higher priced race, the athlete will be required to pay the difference in addition to the transfer fee.
7. If an athlete is transferring from or into the longer or shorter distance on the same day (e.g. IRONMAN Malaysia to IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi), they will not be required to pay the transfer fee, unless the request is made within 8 weeks of the event date.
8. Entry into events where general entries have sold out is not available.
9. Transfers are not available out of or into an event within 45 days of the race date. Please see specific event websites for cut off dates.
10. Transfers are applicable to individual race entries only – team entries and entries purchased through third-party charities and/or travel groups or free of charge entries are not available to transfer.
11. Races to be transferred into will not be available for immediate selection until they have been opened to the general entry for at least ten days.  Any requests made into future events will be processed in order of application once the event transfer window has opened.
12. Once a transfer has been accepted the option to receive any retrospective refund or make further transfers/deferrals is no longer available.
13. Once a transfer has been accepted you are waiving the option to receive any retrospective refunds including any additional purchases (e.g. Sportograf) except in the instance that the transfer options are not available.
14. Transfers are non-transferable to another athlete.
15. Additional purchases including Sportograf and other additional purchases are non-transferable.

Process

1. To request an event transfer, complete the Transfer Request Form.
2. After completing the Transfer Request Form, you will receive a confirmation email from Active.com confirming we have received your request (please also check your junk mail).
3. We will process your transfer within 5 working days.
4. You will receive a unique registration link for the event you have chosen to transfer in to. You will need to complete the registration information and pay all applicable transfer fees at this point.
5. You will receive a confirmation email from Active.com once your transfer registration is complete (please also check your junk mail).
