Events: All events will have a PC/ID Open Division. However, there are courses that do not allow wheelchair accessibility on the run course due to road conditions. 

Paratriathlon classification: PC/ID Open Division athletes are not required to request or receive any formal paratriathlon classification. 

Medical documentation: A form or follow up correspondence will be emailed to each athlete prior to the race requesting the specific needs of each athlete. For more information, please contact the race specific email or AWID@ironman.com (for ID Open athletes). 

Fees: The fee for a guide is waived. For races that require a National Federation License to compete, guides will need to purchase a one-day membership if he/she is not an annual member. Once a guide is confirmed, an entry link will be provided for the guide to register free of charge. Please note: If the PC/ID Open Division athlete needs to withdraw for any reason, the guide is not permitted to compete as an individual. 

Check in: Please contact the race specific email to coordinate the athlete check in process with the event staff. Athletes competing in the PC/ID Open Division will be given a select color for the swim cap and bib number. *Colors will vary at each event. 

World Championship slots:  All eligible PC/ID Open Division athletes can enter into the Physically Challenged/Intellectual Disability Open Division Drawing for a chance to be drawn for a slot to the IRONMAN World Championship and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

Cut-off times: All athletes have the same cut-off times regardless of division. Please refer to the event-specific website for course cut-off times. 

ID Open athletes must receive approval form IRONMAN prior to registering for an event. Eligible ID Open athletes must contact AWID@IRONMAN.com at least 60 days before an Event to start the approval process. Additional participation and registration requirements apply.
